Introducing an artist
APRIL //
STAR LANE EP
Atlantic Records reached out to me about a new artist APRIL. With her new EP on the horizon we wanted to work together to gather a load of content from which we could start building April’s brand as a young singer.
Since I met her in a dimly lit studio early summer 2022, we’ve created so much together, and it’s been amazing to get to know an artist and the style that suits them.
Impossible Visualiser
I first met April in a basement studio where she was recording her second single off the EP, ‘Impossible’, with her friend Jimi.
We hung out there for a couple of hours, filming the intimate moments of the two young artists recording in the studio, which I used to put together a visualiser for the release.
The video is a simple loop with lyrics on top and a mix between SLR and camcorder to keep the intimate, home made feel which April loves.
I also made all the cutdowns for socials and advertising around this and all other visualiser videos.
STAR LANE EP TRAILER
Ahead of her announcement of the new EP, Star Lane, we wanted to create a piece of content to teaser the upcoming content to her fanbase.
I used a mixture of content captured on a day in East London - on the DLR at around Hackney - as well as BTS from the music video shoot of her first single, 54321.
